Where to put your wedding QR code — and what to say.

A QR code is useful only when guests know what it does and can comfortably scan it. Make the invitation as clear as the placement.
At the welcome area
Place a sign where guests naturally pause, with enough room to stand without blocking the entrance. A simple “Find your seat here” is more useful than an unexplained code.
On the tables
Repeat the same guest portal on table cards with “Share your photos from today.” Guests already seated can discover the gallery without returning to the welcome area.
Test the printed version
Scan the actual printed sign using different phones, distances and lighting. Keep strong contrast, a clear margin around the code and a readable short URL underneath. Avoid putting the code on a fold or glossy surface that catches glare.
Prepare for low battery and weak signal
Keep a printed seating list and a designated helper available. Confirm venue connectivity before the day. An installable PWA does not by itself guarantee offline guest lookup or uploads.
